Renewable energy often exists in the abstract—visible on rooftops but completely disconnected from the classroom experience below. As an initiative of Madison Energy Infrastructure, the challenge for Solar Empowered Schools was to turn a utility retrofit into a tangible learning opportunity.

To bridge the gap between hardware and pedagogy, we moved beyond standard corporate branding to build an educational ecosystem. We partnered with educators to design a comprehensive K–12 curriculum, translating complex energy concepts into accessible lesson plans. This system was brought to life through a national campaign, a dynamic digital platform, and a custom VR experience that allows students to virtually tour the arrays above their heads. The work transforms school buildings from passive energy consumers into living laboratories.
